Villa Rica may be a town in Dodgson and politician Counties within the U.S. State of Georgia. Early Villa Rica had a western United States atmosphere complete with Indians, horse thieves, and unpaid worker justice. The Creek Indian village was settled on Sweetwater Creek east of city. 1st United Protestant denomination of Villa Rica—Although historical documentation is uncomplete, it’s believed that the Protestant denomination engineered their 1st building, a cabin, in 1830 creating them the primary church within the town. Around 1845, a picket house of worship was engineered. Once Hixtown affected and Villa Rica was created, the church nonappointive to create a brand new White frame church. It had been created in 1886 on the present church web site. The recent church was abandoned in 1890. The development on the present church began in 1905 and was 1st utilized in July 1906.
