Nemiscau (or recent Nemaska) could be a semi-permanent Cree settlement in northern Quebec, Canada, on Lake Nemiscau. There’s no road or heavier-than-air craft access. Nemiscau is that the former website of a Hudson’s Bay Company post till 1970. The settlement was abandoned within the middle Seventies once Hydro-QuAbec planned hydro-electric development on the Prince Rupert watercourse, which might have resulted within the flooding of the realm.
