Kapuskasing could be a city on the Kapuskasing stream within the Cochrane District of Northern Ontario, Canada, more or less ninety two kilometer (57 mi) east of William Randolph Hearst. The city was referred to as MacPherson till 1917 once the name was modified thus as to not conflict with another railway stop in Canadian province.
The city of Kapuskasing gets its name from the Kapuskasing stream, that was thus named long before the existence of the city. Kapuskasing could be a word of Cree origin and its true which means has been the question of dialogue. An extended established native belief[citation needed] suggests the word Kapuskasing means that “Bend in River”.
