Abilene may be a town in Taylor and Jones counties in west central Lone-Star State. The population was 117,063 in keeping with the 2010 census creating it the 25th most inhabited town within the state of Lone-Star State. it’s the principal town of the Abilene Metropolitan applied math space, that had a 2006 calculable population of 158,063. it’s the county courthouse of Taylor County. Dyess Air Force Base is found on the side of the town. Abilene is found off interstate twenty, between exits 279 on its western edge and 292 on the east. Abilene is one hundred fifty miles (240 km) west of city, Texas. the town is whorled by I-20 to the north, U.S. 83/84 on the west, and Loop 322 to the east. A railroad divides the town down the middle into north and south. The historic downtown space is on the side of the railroad.
