Naugatuck could be a consolidated borough and city in metropolis County, Connecticut, u. s.. The city spans either side of the Naugatuck stream simply south of metropolis, and includes the communities of Union town on the side of the stream, that has its own post workplace, Straitsville on the southeast (along Route sixty three, and Millville on the west (along Rubber Avenue). Naugatuck was settled in 1701 as a farming community in rural Western Connecticut. because the technological revolution commenced, Naugatuck was remodeled into a hardscrabble mill-town like its neighbors within the Naugatuck depression.
