Naugatuck may be a consolidated borough and city in New Haven County, Connecticut, u. s.. The city spans each side of the Naugatuck stream simply south of Waterbury, and includes the communities of Union town on the side of the stream, that has its own post workplace, Straitsville on the southeast (along Route sixty three, and Millville on the west (along Rubber Avenue). Naugatuck was settled in 1701 as a farming community in rural Western Connecticut. because the age commenced, Naugatuck was reworked into a hardscrabble mill-town like its neighbors within the Naugatuck vale.
