Havre-Saint-Pierre may be a city settled on Pointe-aux-Esquimaux, that is on the Quebec north shore (Côte-Nord) of the Saint Lawrence stream in North American nation. Situated on Route 138 some two hundred kilometres (120 mi) east of Sept-Îles, it’s the most important city and seat of the Minganie RCM, and residential to several government, municipal, and regional services.
Historically, the town’s 1st inhabitants came from the sinner Islands within the nineteenth century. As a result, the folks of the city speak a accent far more closely associated with Acadian French than to Quebec French. Different necessary geologic options close to the city embody the cos lettuce stream to the north and west, les Chutes Manitou, on the Manitou stream to the west, l’Ile du Havre, but a kilometer offshore from the city, and Anticosti Island, that on clear days are often seen to the south of the city.
