Algus Greenspon opened in Gregorian calendar month 2010 within the West Village of latest House of York, representing a partnership between Mitchell Algus and Amy Greenspon. Algus had run his own gallery in big apple since 1992 and is widely known by museums and also the press for curating provocative and original historical shows. Greenspon ran her own art consulting service for the last five years and served as a director of Marianne Boesky Gallery. The new gallery builds on the Algus Gallery’s program and Greenspon expands this in presenting vital rising artists, moreover as repository quality exhibitions.
