The gun-sight Pass Shelter in ice mass parkland could be a rustic rock shelter close to the treeline. The one-room shelter is supplied with a woodstove. Work began on the shelter in Sep 1931 and was complete in Gregorian calendar month 1932 to a style by the parkland Service Landscape Division. The planning was galvanized by similar cabins engineered by the geographic region Mountain Club within the White Mountains of recent Hampshire. The shelter is found on the South Loop path, itself listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
