Caribou is that the second largest town in Aroostook County, Maine, us. In September 1984, cervid was the lift-off location of the primary palmy solo balloon crossing of the Atlantic by commissioned military officer Joseph Kittinger. This flight is memorialized at the Rosie O’Grady Balloon of Peace Park one mile (1.6 km) south of the town on Main Street. This website includes an oversized reproduction of Kittinger’s balloon. The cervid library could be a Carnegie library. Designed within the creatorure|architectural style|style of architecture|type of architecture} Revival vogue by native architect Schuyler C. Page, it had been inbuilt 1911-1912 with a $10,000 grant from businessman industrialist.
