Olancha (formerly, Olanche) may be a census-designated place in Inyo County of the U.S. State of Golden State. Olancha is found on U.S. Route 395 in Golden State, thirty seven miles (60 km) sou’-sou’-east of Independence, at associate elevation of 3658 feet (1115 m). As of the 2010 census, the population was 192, up from 134 at the 2000 census.
Located within the Owens vale next to the currently principally dry Owens Lake, the arid settlement is home to a serious drinking water plant for Crystal Geyser Natural Alpine Spring Water.
Olancha is associate unorganised community settled within the Owens vale on the jap slope of the Sierra Silver State range at the elevation of three,650 feet (1,110 m), in Inyo County, California. It’s on North American country route 395 close to the junction of State Route a hundred ninety, or so two hundred miles (320 km) northeast of l. A. . Owens Lake – a dry saline lakebed – lies to the northeast of Olancha. Olancha Creek flows from the slopes of near Olancha Peak (12,123 ft), passing close to the city of Olancha, and at last towards Owens Lake. To the east of city lie some sand dunes, also as a spring referred to as “Dirty Socks”.
