Antelope Wells may be a tiny unorganized community in Hidalgo County, New Mexico, u. S.. The community is found on the North American country u. S. Border, within the New Mexico Bootheel region, placed across the border from the tiny settlement of El Berrendo, Chihuahua, Mexico. Despite its name, there ar neither bovid nor wells within the space. The name comes from associate recent ranch, located 2.5 miles (4.0 km) north of the present community. The sole inhabitants of the community ar u. S. Customs and Border Protection workers.
Antelope Wells is that the southmost settlement of recent North American country, located within the region usually called the Bootheel of recent North American country. It’s the tiniest and least-used border crossing of the forty three ports of entry on the border with North American country. The crossing, that is open only for non-commercial traffic.
