Detail InformationEdit

The Cabin Creek Ranger Residence and Dormitory, conjointly referred to as the Cabin Creek Ranger Station, were in-built 1934 and 1935 in redwood parkland by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The three-room wood-frame residence and therefore the two-room dormitory ar samples of the parkland Service Rustic vogue.
The two buildings stand near the previous web site of the Lost Grove Entrance Station. They were engineered by three hundred employees from the Buckeye three hundred camp throughout the summers of 1934 and 1935, to accommodate rangers for the Lost Grove entrance to the Generals main road. Originally supposed to be set at Lost Grove and to use redwood logs, the move to close Cabin Creek resulted in a very amendment to a wood applicable to the new location, that failed to feature sequoias. Style work for the buildings was allotted by Park Service landscape gardener Harold G, Fowler and Emergency Conservation Work landscape gardener actor Fletcher.
