Neosho natives as well as painter and Regionalist painter Thomas Hart Benton, ballroom music musician and musician James Scott, and celebrated African-American discoverer and plant scientist full general Carver have contributed to yankee life. Today, Neosho River is enjoying a renaissance, notably within the historic downtown space. Through a mix of personal investment and public resources, varied restoration and revitalisation comes are undertaken within the historic centre to revive its field quality, upgrade the infrastructure, and improve the standard of lifetime of downtown.
