Elkhart /lk.hrt/ may be a town in Elkhart County, Indiana, u. S.. Town is found fifteen miles (24 km) east of city, seventy miles (110 km) northwest of metropolis, a hundred and ten miles (180 km) east of Chicago, and a hundred and fifty miles (240 km) north of capital of Indiana. Elkhart has the larger population of the 2 principal cities of the Elkhart-Goshen Metropolitan applied math space, that successively is a component of the South Bend-Elkhart-Mishawaka Combined applied math space, in an exceedingly region usually referred to as Michiana. The population was fifty,949 at the 2010 census. Despite the shared name, it’s not the county courthouse of Elkhart County; that position is command by town of Goshen, settled regarding ten miles (16 km) southeast of Elkhart.
