Downingtown may be a borough in city County, Pennsylvania, thirty three miles (53 km) west of Philadelphia. As of the 2010 census it had a population of seven,891. Downingtown was settled by English and European colonists within the early eighteenth century and encompasses a range of historic buildings and structures. Consistent with the u. S. Authority, the borough encompasses a total space of two.2 sq. Miles (5.7 km2), all of it land.
Downingtown Station is found on the Lincoln route and is served by each SEPTA and Amtrak. The city is additionally served by the regional Rover public utility, operated by Krapf bus lines associated functionally an extension of the SEPTA bus system throughout city County. Each systems give access to Philadelphia and alternative suburbs on the most Line.
