Los Mochis may be a coastal town in northern Sinaloa, Mexico. It is the municipal seat of the municipality of Ahome. As of the 2010 census, the population was 256,613, that was sixty one p.c of the municipality’s population.
Los Mochis (Place of Turtles)is the western terminus of the Chihuahua-Pacific Railroad, or ChePe, that passes through the scenic Copper ravine. This railway was originally formed by Albert K. Owen and approved by President Porfirio Díaz as a trade route linking the cows markets in Kansas town with the closest port on the Pacific Ocean, Topolobampo.
A popular activity among youth in Los Mochis is that the “Leyvazo”; wherever individuals park their cars or cruise on archangel Leyva Avenue in downtown Los Mochis.Los Mochis is thought for its sports culture and huge, high-quality sporting facilities supposed to push participation in sports.
