Crockett may be a town in Houston County, Texas, within the us. As of the 2000 census, town population was seven,141. it’s the seat of Houston County. The city was named once mountain man United Nations agency reportedly had camped near on his thanks to the Alamo; the positioning was terribly close to the recent San Antonio Road. A family from Tennessee given the land for the city and named it once Davy Crockett, whom they’d antecedently celebrated. The city was incorporated in 1837, and a Post workplace was granted the subsequent year. Davy Crockett was connected to Nacogdoches by stage service.
