The Simms Building in downtown city, NM was the city’s 1st trendy, International vogue edifice. It had been inbuilt 1954, creating it a recent of the similar Lever House in ny town. The building is found at four hundred Gold Avenue sou’-west, that was originally the placement of the recent arenaceous rock industrial Club building. The Simms Building is fifty five m (180 ft) with thirteen floors, that created it the tallest building within the state till the Bank of the West Tower was designed nine years later. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
Like the neighboring Gold Building, the Simms Building has windowless brick walls on the east and west sides and glass curtain walls on the opposite 2 faces, designed by the firm Flatow, Moore, Bryan, and Fairburn, that conjointly attributable for the Dennis Chavez Federal Building one block to the west.
