Pittston town is found in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, u. s.. it’s located between metropolis and Wilkes-Barre. {the town|the town|town} gained prominence within the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries as a vigorous coal mining city, drawing an oversized portion of its proletariat from European immigrants. The population was seven,739 as of the 2010 census. At its peak in 1920, the population of Pittston was eighteen,497. town consists of 3 sections: The Downtown (in the middle of the city), the Oregon Section (in the southern end), and therefore the Junction (in the northern end).
