El Zotz could be a Mesoamerican archeologic web site of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization, situated within the Petén Basin region around twenty kilometres (12 mi) west of the foremost center of Tikal and more or less twenty six kilometres (16 mi) west of Uaxactun.
It is thus referred to as due to the big range of round the bend living in caves within the close cliffs (the original Mayan name was Pa’Chan). The location is found within the San Miguel la Palotada park bordering the Tikal park within the contemporary department of Petén, Guatemala. It’s an oversized Classic amount web site and contains several unexcavated mounds and ruins.
