Detail InformationEdit

The Washington Bridge carries six lanes of traffic (plus sidewalks on each sides) over the Harlem River in big apple town between the boroughs of Manhattan and therefore the borough, connecting 181st Street and Amsterdam Avenue within the Washington Heights section of Manhattan to college Avenue within the Morris Heights section of borough. Ramps at either finish of the bridge hook up with the Trans-Manhattan motorway and therefore the Cross-Bronx motorway. The bridge is operated and maintained by the big apple town Department of Transportation. It once carried U.S. Route 1, that currently travels over the national leader Bridge.
