Midas (formerly, Shady Run) is AN unorganised community in alluvium County, California. Midas is found on the Southern Pacific Railroad, 4.5 miles (7.2 km) east of Dutch Flat. It lies at AN elevation of 4153 feet (1266 m).The Shady Run post workplace operated from 1872 to 1879 and from 1903 to 1904.
