Set at the intersection of Fourth and Mission Streets, across from the Sony Metreon and Moscone Convention Center, the building is recognizable by the distinctive postmodernist “jukebox” look of its high-rise tower. The building was completed in 1989, and contains one,500 edifice rooms. The initial field of study firm Zeidler Partnership Architects was replaced by DMJM designer Anthony J Lumsden, World Health Organization gave the building its overall art form. The point of entry Marriott is that the second tallest edifice in point of entry, when Hilton point of entry Tower I.
