Amenia is a city in Dutchess County, us. New York, us. The name springs from the Latin word, amoena, which implies “pleasant to the attention.” The city of amenorrhoea is on the east border of the county. The town has train service to ny City via the Metro North Railroad. The native train depot is termed Wassaic, after the hamlet of Wassaic–a a part of Amenia.
