Pilot Mountain may be a city in Surry County, North geographical area, u. s.. it’s named for the close landmark of Pilot Mountain, a particular natural object. it’s believed to be the inspiration for the fictional city of Mount Pilot on The Andy film maker Show and Mayberry RFD. in keeping with the u. s. Bureau of the Census, the city encompasses a total space of one.7 sq. miles (4.4 sq.km), all of it land.
