Lakeway is a city in Travis County, Texas, us. The population was 11,391 at the 2010 census; up from 8,002 in 2000. Town is found close to Lake Travis. According to the United States Census Bureau, town incorporates a total space of half-dozen.1square miles (15.7Square kilometers), of which, 5.8square miles (15.0Square kilometers) of it’s land and 0.3square miles (0.7Square kilometer) of it (4.45%) is water. The city of Lakeway began with the development of a 48-room building, the Lakeway lodge, currently Lakeway Resort And Spa, a 168-room full service resort. Ground was broken Oct 1962 and therefore the grand gap was July twelve, 1963. Honored guests enclosed girl Bird Johnson and Lone-Star State Governor John Connally.
