Wainiha may be a land section within the Hanalei district of northern island. The name is Hawaiian and virtually interprets to “unfriendly water”, most likely concerning the coastline’s treacherous currents. This land section is on the northern coast of island and includes a bay and canal. The terrain is varied and also includes a cliff (pali), river, and valley. Wainiha is twenty five.49 sq. miles.
