The Billings American state Temple is that the 66th in operation temple of The Church of Deliverer of present Saints. Its name derives from its location in Billings, Montana. Plans to make a temple in American state were declared in August 1996. About 4,800 folks gathered throughout a spring storm to witness the groundbreaking on thirty March 1998. Eight dedicatory sessions were command to accommodate all of the members of the world on 20-21st of Nov 1999. Church President Gordon B. Hinckley gave the dedicatory prayer.
The Billings American state Temple sits on the incline ahead of 300-foot (91 m) high red Rimrock cliffs. The one tower rises from a layer tower. Stained-glass windows dominate the West End. Inside, a transparent fanlight permits patrons to glimpse the angel Moroni atop the tower. The outside options WY white dolomite with tan arenaceous rock end. The temple is employed by the thirty six,000 members in American state and northern WY. It’s a complete floor space of thirty three,800 sq. Feet (3,140 m2), 2 ordinance rooms, and 3 protection rooms.
