The individual deposit of Everglade State is settled in 2 remodeled historic buildings that were at one time synagogues, at 301 & 311 Washington Ave., in city, Florida. The most deposit building, at 301 Washington Ave., was in-built 1936, is on the National Register of Historic Places, has art movement features, a copper dome, a marble bimah and 80 glass windows. The adjacent building settled at 311 Washington, that served as Miami Beach’s 1st house of prayer, was purchased by the deposit in 2005 and remodeled in 2007 as a deposit growth.
The Museum’s core exhibit, MOSAIC: individual Life in Everglade State, includes over five hundred photos and artifacts that depict the individual expertise in Everglade State since 1763. The deposit additionally has many temporary exhibits on show every year. The deposit mounts and hosts its own and traveling exhibitions; sponsors cultural and academic programs; homes a Collections & research facility reflective Everglade State individual history since 1763; and communicates individual history, values and issues to Jews and non-Jews alike in a casual manner.
