Captiva may be a census-designated place in Lee County, Florida, u. s.. it’s settled on Captiva Island. per the u. s. Census Bureau, the CDP encompasses a total space of ten.5 sq. miles (27square kilometers), of which, 1.2 sq. miles (3.1square kilometers) of it’s land and nine.2 sq. miles (24square kilometers) of it (88.10percent) is water. principally within the Gulf of Mexico to the west and Pine Island Sound.
