Pike’s theatre, later renamed the opera House, was a theatre in big apple town on the northwest corner of eighth Avenue and twenty third Street, in Chelsea, Manhattan.[Note 1] it had been made in 1868 on a grand scale, for manufacturer and bourgeois Samuel N.
