Oak read could be a census-designated place (CDP) in Ventura County, California, us placed within the western portion of the Ojai natural depression settled between the cities of Casitas Springs (south) and Mira four-card monte (north). At the 2010 census, the population of Oak read was four,066, down from four,199 at the 2000 census, creating it the third largest city within the Ojai natural depression. The city is adjacent to the Ventura watercourse and close Lake Casitas.
