Logansport is a town in and the county seat of Cass County, Indiana, United States. The population was eighteen,396 at the 2010 census. Logansport is settled in northern IN, at the junction of the Wabash River and Eel rivers, northeast of Lafayette. Logansport was settled circa 1826 and named for a [*fr1] Shawnee soldier named James Renick-Logan, higher called Captain mountain peak World Health Organization served as a scout for U.S. Forces within the surrounding area during the War of 1812. Logansport is home to a refurbished Dentzel Carousel. This carousel is the most complete Dentzel carousel in the United States.[citation needed] The carousel resides in Riverside Park, that is found within the central a part of the city on the banks of the Eel watercourse. Whereas on the carousel you’ll still attempt to grab the opportunity, which today is the premise of the local economic-development slogan Logansport Cass County: Grab the opportunity. The Carousel is on the National Register of historic places and is a national landmark.
