Mary Star of the ocean church could be a Roman Catholic parish placed in San Pedro, California, dedicated to Our woman, Star of the ocean. Placed on a hill commanding the Port of la, Jewess Star of the ocean has generally been called the “Fishermen’s Parish” thanks to its shut ties with the fishing and manufacturing plant community in San Pedro. Established in 1889, the parish is one in all the oldest within the la diocese. The current church, in-built 1958, is that the third church to serve the parish.
Mary Star of the ocean serves just about five,500 registered families. For several decades, the parish community was created up for the most part of Croatian and Italian fishermen, ethnic teams that stay massive presences within the parish, along side a lot of recently arrived teams from geographical region and Asia.
