The Southern Union gas service Building could be a historic building in downtown metropolis, New Mexico, that is notable united of the earliest International vogue buildings within the town. In-built 1951, it had been the biggest of many Southern Union offices round the state designed by southwestern creator John Gaw Meem. The main saleroom area is seventeen feet (5.2 m) high, with a sweeping way to the higher level and expansive plate-glass windows on the south and west sides.In 2004–5, the then-vacant building was restored and reborn into a Flying Star eating house at a value of $3.5 million.It was side to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 2003[5] and therefore the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
