Lake Isabella (formerly, Isabella and Kernvale) may be a census-designated place (CDP) within the southern Sierra Nevadas, in Kern County, California, u. S., settled close to Lake Isabella. Lake Isabella is found thirty five miles (56 km) east-northeast of city, at Associate in Nursing elevation of 2513 feet (766 m). The population was three,466 at the 2010 census, up from 3,315 at the 2000 census. Consistent with the u. S. Federal agency, the CDP incorporates a total space of twenty-two.1 sq. Miles (57 km2), over ninety eight of it land.
Lake Isabella is at the confluence of the North and South Forks of the Kern watercourse. These rivers ar ‘wild’, in this they’re not controlled by any dam upstream. Upstream on the North Fork froth enthusiasts play within the spring and early summer. The notable Golden Trout originate within these rivers in the high country to the north.
