The McNamara Federal Building may be a class-A edifice in downtown Motown, Michigan designed by the Motown subject area firm of Smith, Hinchman and Grylls. It opened in 1976 to consolidate the offices of federal agencies that were scattered in many locations within the space. It homes offices of the patron Product Safety Commission, Army Corps of Engineers, Defense Contract Management Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, taxation Service, organisation, Railroad Retirement Board and Social Security Administration. It’s named for Patrick V. McNamara, a Democratic us legislator from the State of Michigan from 1955 to 1966.
