The advent of the motorcar within the park in 1915 created a good flow of tourists. The necessity arose for associate degree intermediate form of lodging between the posh of the Lake edifice and therefore the rustic accommodations of the tent camps.
In 1926, the Lake Lodge (also a Robert Reamer design) was completed, one in all four lodges within the park. The park was not primarily accessible to solely affluent “dudes” or hearty “sagebrushers.” Democracy had return to river.
