In 1920, native businessmen supported a brand new electrical generator plant (sold by Fairbanks-Morse) for the city. Out of this was shaped Garland Power & lightweight, the municipal electrical supplier that also powers town nowadays. Garland may be a town within the U.S. State of Lone-Star State. It’s an outsized town northeast of city and may be a major a part of the Dallas-Fort price Metroplex. It’s settled virtually entirely inside city County aside from tiny parts in Collin County. As of the 2010 census, town had a population of 226,876, creating it the twelfth-most inhabited town in Lone-Star State and also the 87th most inhabited town within the us.
