Madras was incorporated as a town in 1911. a military Air Corps base was designed close throughout war II. This landing field currently is City-County flying field. Homesteads regarding five miles (8.0 km) north of the town on Agency Plains were supported dryland wheat. consistent with the u. s. agency, the town encompasses a total space of two.2 sq. miles (5.7 sq. Kilometer), all of it land.
