Caumsett State Historic Park, settled on a scenic ground extending into Long Island Sound, offers miles of bridle ways, walking, jogging, hiking, biking, skiing and nature trails over acres of biome, meadows, rock bounds and salt marsh. The park has lovely gardens, glorious fishing and skin-dive by allow. In 1921 Marshall Field III purchased 1750 acres of thespian Neck to make one massive estate.
Field created a self-sustaining English-style estate as a mixture guild, searching preserve, and home, complete with its own water and electrical offer. Once the estate was finished, it had facilities for each sport except golf. Caumsett State Historic Park was nonheritable by big apple State in 1961. The park is diverse; fishing, hiking, bird looking, nature photography, and enquiry ar among the numerous activities guests could pursue. The Equus caballus barn provides lessons, boarding & equestrian services as a part of the thespian Harbor Equestrian Center.
