The town Island Bridge could be a bridge within the ny City borough of The Bronx, connecting town Island and Rodman’s Neck on the ground. It’s of stone and steel construction, and spans 950 foot (290 m). Construction was begun in 1899 and completed in 1901, at a value of $200,000. It consists of 5 fastened spans and a central swing section that was reborn to fastened spans in 1963.
