The Church of St. Mary, New Haven, Connecticut, us, is that the parish church of the second oldest Roman Catholic parish in Connecticut. The parish was established in 1832. The Knights of Columbus was based here in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, UN agency was then the church’s assistant pastor. The church is presently pass by friars of the monastic order. The primary church was inbuilt 1834. It burned down in 1848. The present church at five Hillhouse Avenue was dedicated in 1874. It had been designed by the eminent designer James spud of Providence, Rhode Island.
