The city of San Andrés Tuxtla is found within the south-central portion of the Mexican state of metropolis. It is the municipal seat of the encircling municipality of San Andrés Tuxtla. Town is found a hundred and fifty klick from town of metropolis on Federal route one hundred eighty within the Sierra First State Los Tuxtlas region, at a mean height of three hundred meters (1000 feet) on top of water level.
