The cabin at contemporary 1805 John Hancock Street in Bellevue, NE was inbuilt the decennary, and is often acknowledged because the oldest building in NE.The building was one and a 0.5 stories tall with a chamber within the loft. Cut cottonwood logs encircled a dust floor and hearth. In 1906 a room and storage room were supplementary to the east side; in 1972 the Sarpy County Historical Society a basement was mammary gland and therefore the main floor was rebuilt.
Today, the Society maintains the building in near-original condition as a memorial to the living conditions of the pioneers.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on Oct sixteen, 1970.
