Palmira could be a municipality and town within the Cienfuegos Province of Cuba.It was supported in 1879 underneath the name Las Casas. The name was modified to Palmira and therefore the community was incorporated in 1940. The municipality is split into the barrios of Primero, Segundo, Arango y Escarza.
The thermal water resort of Ciego Montero and therefore the homonymous drinking water plant ar placed within the municipality, 12 km (7.5 mi) kind the city of Palmira.
