The Cathedral of Saint Blessed Virgin is that the seat of the bishop of the Roman Catholic diocese of Miami. The cathedral is known as for Blessed Virgin, mother of Israelite, and is found at 7525 N.W. 2nd Ave., Miami, Florida. Bishop Thomas Gerard Wenski is the Cathedral’s pastor.
In August 1929, below the title of the tiny watercourse Mission Club, fourteen men and ladies met in a very store on Northeast 79th Street close to 2d Avenue to create a replacement parish. Bishop Saint Patrick Barry of St. Theologian bishopric (1922-1940) explicit they’d would like 100 Catholic families for a replacement parish. Final ceremony services for Jackie Gleason were command at St. Mary’s Cathedral in 1987.
