Canora is close into the junction of highways No. Five and nine in eastern Saskatchewan, fifty kilometres north of the town of Yorkton. Centrally settled on the corners of 4 adjacent rural municipalities, the community is home to roughly a pair of,400 residents and attracts upon a considerable commercialism space.
Canora’s uncommon name comes from the primary 2 letters of the words “Canadian Northern Railway”. The Canora railroad station is served by Via Rail on its route from Winnipeg to Churchill, Manitoba. Canora became a village in 1905 and was incorporated as a city in 1910.
