Honesdale may be a borough in and also the seat of Wayne County, Pennsylvania, us. It’s settled thirty two miles (51 km) northeast of metropolis. The population was four,480 at the 2010 census. Honesdale is found in a very geographical region that has several recreational opportunities including: seafaring, fishing, hiking, hunting, skiing, biking, skating, and rafting. Settled in a very coal mining region, throughout the nineteenth century it had been the place to begin of the Delaware and Hudson Canal, that provided for transport of coal to Kingston, the big apple so down the river to the big apple town. Within the nineteenth century the growth of railroads eventually outdated regular use of the canal.
